Great Room Features Kiva Fireplace - Wood Beam Ceilings
Casa de Alma brings the southwest alive with vibrant colors and natural lighting that accentuate the exposed beam ceilings, old timber lintels, and traditional red brick flooring. Hand carved wood doors throughout the home were made by well-known Santa Fe carpenter and artist John Paradis and were crafted from 100-year old designs!
The great room features a gorgeous kiva fireplace to warm the cool mountain nights and a rare bench and cross wall in the native tradition. A rich leather sofa and chair invites good conversation, reading or napping while the elegant dining area seats eight and has table service for twelve. Numerous antique kilim rugs add softness and color.
Inside the antique armoire is a large-screen television, DVD/VCR player, and AM-FM music. A rare native drum made out of a single tree trunk serves as the coffee table and many objects of art and antiques fill the room with charm and southwest ambience. When needed, the sofa can be made into a queen-bed.
The great room doors lead to the private walled outdoor patio where you can enjoy morning coffee, relax in the sun, or cook up a delicious grilled dinner.
