If you decide to contact a property management company, be sure to ask the right questions, particularly if you don't know Santa Fe.

• Make sure you know where the property is located and whether the home is in a residential or mixed residential/commercial area. If you want quiet and relaxation, make sure you are in a residential neighborhood. The best neighborhood in Santa Fe is the Acequia Madre neighborhood, just south of Canyon Road.
• Ask if there is off-street parking adequate to meet your needs.
  
• Understand the Cancellation Policy. Most property managers charge the entire amount, even if you cancel in an emergency. If this is a concern, trip-cancellation insurance is a good idea.
